10/20. Pulled the anchor and left Alligator River Cove Anchorage at first light, 6:50AM
7:30AM. Joined a convoy of sailboats leaving the Tuckahoe Point anchorage. They were from the Sail to the Sun rally. We listened to them for a while on channel 68, but they had a short day planned and left the ICW at Dowry Creek Marina near Belhaven. We wonder why they all left their anchorage so early in the morning just to travel a few hours.

12PM. Crossing Pamlico river. 20 knots on the nose and raining.
4:30PM arrived at Marina at River Dunes. Small craft advisory for high winds is in effect until 2PM tomorrow afternoon so we may end up staying here for two nights.
