We spent a little under a week on a mooring ball in Belfast harbor. The mooring ball was managed by the town which gave us access to showers in the public restrooms and a place to have packages delivered. We could also use the town dinghy dock, but anyone can do that regardless if they are paying for a town mooring ball or not.
The anchorage was one of the calmer ones we’ve been to lately. There was only one afternoon where the current from the river was at odds with the wind and we got some small waves on the beam, but other than that it was completely calm. Even the local boats went slow enough to not generate much wake.
Even after more than a month in Maine, we haven’t had a lobster yet Our friends on Puffin. We’ve run into them three times, first time was in Annapolis Double wide tugboat. We’ve never seen on of these before Sunrise in Belfast. The water was this calm almost the entire week Double rainbow. The one on the left was a full rainbow but the camera couldn’t zoom out enough to capture it.
